Blenheim Schools appoints Julia Knight as Head of Senior Girls and Primary School at Beech Hall School Riyadh

Julia Knight is the latest expert international educator to be appointed at Beech Hall School Riyadh since the school opened in Al Khuzama, Riyadh in August 2022. Julia has been working in education since 2004 with experience in both middle and leadership roles across the academic and pastoral spectrum of education in the UK and internationally. Julia is regarded as a thought leader and innovator in the fields of both wellbeing and inclusion in international education and this has led to her being nominated for several awards for her leadership and wellbeing skills in international schools. Julia was recently named as an ‘opinion shaper’ and ‘change maker’ as part of the 2021 Edruptor top 100 Global Educators by the prestigious ISC Research group.

As a passionate advocate for inclusive education, Julia firmly believes that teaching should always start where the child is. “Teaching should be bespoke and tailored to each child whilst ensuring the whole child is tended to”. On her appointment, Julia said “I am thrilled to be joining David Ardley and the Founding Team at Beech Hall School Riyadh. I absolutely love the concept of the Chatsworth Tapestry, where student learning is individually crafted with their unique story so they can share and nurture their talents. I can’t wait to play my part in helping to weave Beech Hall School Riyadh’s unique tapestry for our children and school community”.

Anita Gleave, Founder and CEO of Blenheim Schools said “Put simply, Beech Hall School Riyadh is at the forefront of a whole new model of international education in Saudi Arabia which blends the very best of international educational learning and teaching with Arabic Studies and a deep respect for Saudi culture as we play our part in the Saudi Vision 2030. Julia Knight is a proven and innovative school leader who will add so much to the Beech Hall School Riyadh community with her wellbeing and inclusion expertise but also her personality and her passion for the most important thing, our children.”

David Ardley, founding Principal at Beech Hall School Riyadh, says of Julia’s appointment “Kickstarting and leading a brand-new school, in a new country and culture, is a massively exciting, rewarding and challenging task. Having a strong team of experienced, capable, enthusiastic, conscientious and fun people on board makes that task so much easier. I am both delighted and thrilled that we have been able to welcome Julia to our team here in Riyadh. Not only does she bring significant experience and ideas across British and International education to our table, but her appointment can only help us in honing our vision to become the leading all inclusive, non-selective premium school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as we work to support the Saudi Vision 2030. I am really looking forward to working with Julia on that road ahead – welcome aboard!”
